So to keep you updated, here’s what our reporters know so far about Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 2.
Will There Be a Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 2?
Platinum Games posted an image of Raiden doing his iconic “Zandatsu” move next to the number 2 in 2015. Several members of the community speculated on social media that this image was a teaser for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 2.
The artwork was featured in Sony’s booth at the Taipei Games Show, and it sparked enthusiasm among Metal Gear fans.

In response to these speculations, Platinum Games posted on their blog that the image was produced to commemorate the game’s two-year anniversary. Despite this clarification, fans continued to speculate about Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 2.
Although these clarifications frustrated some Metal Gear Rising fans [1], they must be content for the time being with Raiden’s cameos in Metal Gear Solid II and Metal Gear Solid IV.
If they are suffering from Raiden withdrawal symptoms, they can put on Snake’s Raiden suit in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
