The MSGV game features an online multiplayer mode with weapons and different character types. However, many recent players have been complaining about the Metal Gear Solid V errors 10003 or 10002.
These issues impeded players from playing the game as usual with friends. Here, we listed our tried and tested methods to fix this error so you can get back to the game fast.
MSGV Error 10003 or 10002: 4 Quick Fixes to Try
Fix #1: Optimize Your Internet Connection + Plug the Ethernet Cable
One of the easiest solutions to this problem is using an ethernet cable instead of a wireless connection for your internet.
Connecting to the internet using an ethernet cable works better for MGSV than wireless. Not only Metal Gear Solid other multiplayer games run better on a wired connection.
Fix #2: Check Official Server Status for Maintenance
One of the first things you should do whenever you have a server connection issue is to check the official server status of the game.
In most cases, the game server might be under routine or scheduled maintenance. You can check the server’s status on the official MSGV website, Twitter, and other official social media platforms.
Fix #3: Use a VPN
Many players have reportedly solved these errors on MSGV using this method. A VPN is helpful, especially for those playing the game through the Steam version.
There are several free VPNs out there that you can leverage, such as Hamachi.
Fix #4: Try Disconnecting, Then Log Back in
This is one of the fixes that worked unexpectedly well for us.
To do this, run your MGSV game, then wait a while. Immediately after the title cards appear, another loading screen will appear, saying that the game is trying to get players.
As soon as this appears, cancel this process and allow the other aspect of the loading to go by as they would usually.
The next thing to do after this is to go to the multiplayer mode from the main menu. At this point, the game will try to log you back in again. However, this will be different from the first because it will be manual login.
After you log in, you should be able to access the multiplayer mode. Make sure to follow all the steps we have listed correctly.
