Diablo 4 Hardcore Players Uncover Game-Changing Shortcut: Skip Campaign After Normal Completion

In a surprising revelation, dedicated Diablo 4 players have stumbled upon a game-changing shortcut that allows them to bypass the campaign when starting a new hardcore run, but only after completing it on the normal or “softcore” difficulty setting.

The discovery has sent shockwaves through the Diablo 4 community, with players eagerly sharing their findings on the game’s subreddit.

According to a post by u/Jsemtady, once players have finished the campaign on normal difficulty, they can create a new character in hardcore mode and skip the campaign, starting their journey with certain advantages intact.

The benefits of this shortcut include having horses right from the start and enjoying the transmog feature across both normal and hardcore characters.

The news of this breakthrough spread like wildfire, sparking a flurry of discussions and excitement among the Diablo 4 player base. Players expressed their joy over this shortcut’s newfound freedom and flexibility. No longer bound by the repetitive campaign grind, hardcore players can now explore alternative leveling paths if they meet an untimely demise.

While this shortcut presents a significant leap forward, some players voiced their hopes for further enhancements. Notably, user Lyioux highlighted the desire for altars and renown to transfer over, emphasizing that some limitations still need to be addressed.

In tandem with this revelation, Blizzard Entertainment [1] recently rolled out Diablo 4 patch 1.0.2d, introducing various balance changes to the game. The patch includes a nerf to the Barbarian shout ability and grants Necromancers a substantial buff, enhancing their gameplay experience.

Despite encountering early setbacks caused by glitches and bugs, hardcore Diablo 4 players remain undeterred in their pursuit of glory. Reports suggest that some are poised to join the exclusive club of the first 1,000 players to achieve level 100 in hardcore mode, an impressive feat within the community.

The highest hardcore level attained is 87, held by Wudijo, while five players have already reached the level cap in the “softcore” difficulty setting.

In another remarkable turn of events, a brave Diablo 4 player defeated the notorious Butcher boss despite being significantly underdeveloped. The Butcher, a fearsome adversary infamous for ending many a hardcore run, found itself trapped behind a wall of minions, inadvertently meeting its demise while the player stood idly at the bottom of the screen.

This extraordinary victory astonished the community and served as a testament to the unexpected twists and turns that Diablo 4 offers.

GamesRadar+ awarded Diablo 4 a remarkable 5 out of 5 stars in their review, praising the game as a sinister assault on the senses. The study highlights the significant strides the game has made since its predecessor, Diablo 3, and acknowledges its position as a leading action role-playing game.

While some players argue that Diablo 4 could further refine its class balance and endgame content in comparison to other formidable titles like Grim Dawn, Pillars of Exile, and Torchlight 2, the overall consensus remains that Diablo 4 delivers an unparalleled and captivating experience when firing on all cylinders.
