Tekken 8 Developers Committed to Enhancing Wi-Fi Online Play Experience Following Successful Network Test

In an exciting development for Tekken fans, the director of Tekken 8, Katsuhiro Harada, has announced the development team’s dedication to improving the online play experience based on feedback from a closed network test conducted last month.

In an exclusive interview, Harada provided insights into the outcomes of the closed network test, explaining, “Our intention with the closed network test was to identify and address potential issues, and indeed, we encountered and closely studied these challenges during the test phase.”

One of the intriguing findings from the test was the positive feedback received regarding the online connection quality. Harada expressed his surprise, stating that players found the game’s performance remarkably enjoyable across considerable distances.

This positive response affirmed the team’s efforts to ensure a stable and seamless online experience for players.

However, Harada noted that a noticeable difference existed between players using LAN [1] cables and those relying on Wi-Fi connections. With a firm commitment to inclusivity and balance, he emphasized the team’s plan to refine the gameplay experience for Wi-Fi users.

“We acknowledge the disparity and aim to fine-tune the experience for players utilizing wireless connections, ensuring a more equitable multiplayer environment,” Harada assured.

As the anticipation for Tekken 8’s release grows, fans have reason to be hopeful. Although an official release date is yet to be announced, the game is confirmed to be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

Mitchell Saltzman shared his optimism about the game’s potential after these revelations. In his recent piece, Saltzman wrote, “Addressing network issues will undoubtedly pave the way for an impressive contender in the King of Iron Fist Tournament.”

As the Tekken community eagerly awaits further updates, the commitment shown by the development team to refine the online play experience underscores their dedication to delivering a game that caters to both competitive and casual players, offering a truly immersive and enjoyable experience for all.
