Activating the motion and fitness features in Pokemon GO will reward you with Pokemon eggs, get more steps, and have a lot of fun.
If you want to learn how to activate this feature, here’s how:
How Do You Activate Pokemon Go Motion and Fitness?
For IOS Devices
-
On iOS, simply go to SETTINGS > ADVENTURE SYNC > TURN IT ON! >TURN ALL CATEGORIES ON > ALLOW from within Pokémon GO. And that’s it.
- If something goes wrong, ensure that Pokémon GO has permissions by accessing the HEALTH app > SOURCES and confirming it's permitted.
- Also, check that fitness monitoring is enabled in the phone's privacy settings.
- In the iOS settings, select: Make sure the toggle is turned ON in SETTINGS > PRIVACY > MOTION & FITNESS > FITNESS TRACKING.

For Android Devices
Android synchronization takes advantage of the Google Fit API to link Fit data to a Google Account on the device you’re using:
- On an Android smartphone, make sure you have Google Fit installed.
- Then, from within Pokémon GO, simply go to SETTINGS > ADVENTURE SYNC > TURN IT ON! > ALLOW Pokémon GO permission to access Google Fit data from a Google Account. And that’s it.
If something isn’t counting correctly, make sure Google Fit has both storage and location permissions.
Weekly fitness goals [1] unlock rewards at three distances (5 kilometers, 25 kilometers, and 50 kilometers) and are paid out at the end of the week.
It is currently assumed that all travelers’ weeks end or begin on Mondays. Lower-level goal rewards are included when weekly fitness rewards are claimed.

This means that claiming higher-level rewards can result in some unusual combinations, such as two eggs (should space be available to receive them) or up to four rare candies.
Weekly fitness prizes are sorted into “bundles,” similar to Raid rewards, and include both random and preset or guaranteed “free” items.
