If you’re a seasoned and updated gamer, you’ve probably heard of Monster Prom. But what is it exactly? Well, in short, it’s a dating sim game with a twist – all of your supposed-to-be prom dates are monsters.

So if you’re looking for something a little different from your usual dating sims, read on to find out more about this quirky little game!

What is This Game?

Monster Prom is a dating sim game created by Beautiful Glitch, a Barcelona-based studio founded by Julián Quijano, and published by Those Awesome Guys. The game was released on Steam for Windows, macOS, and Linux on April 27, 2018. Eventually, it was released on Nintendo Switch on May 21, 2020

Monster Prom is a 2D narrative dating sim with both a single-player and multiplayer competitive mode for up to four players [1]. The player takes on the role of one of four pre-set characters, all of whom are students at Spooky High, and can date one of six different monsters.

The game allows players to play as any gender and pronoun, with straight, gay, and lesbian dating options. Every time you play the game, the story changes.

Each turn, players must decide how they will spend their time in the six weeks leading up to prom. They get to participate in various events in one of several map locations at Spooky High and gain stats that affect how their love interest perceives them.

Throughout the game, players will be presented with various options that will affect their relationships with other characters as well as the events and endings they encounter.

Their actions will determine whether or not their love interest agrees to take them to prom. The game has mini-games, voice acting that may result to multiple endings. It also has a shop where players can buy items that will trigger new events and special endings.
