New-player registrations and premium currency sales have been disabled in preparation for the game’s closure, while the Chinese forums and customer support [1] remaining open until its full shut down.

Any unused premium currency will have been converted to a corresponding compensation package, which players will be able to use until the servers go down.

With the Chinese version of MapleStory 2 shutting down, the only fully operational version of the game left is the original Korean release, which has been relegated to maintenance mode.
