How to Level Up in the Game
To level up in Elden Ring, you must first invite the NPC Melina to pay you a visit. Melina will pay you a visit when you rest at one of two specific Grace Sites in central Limgrave:
Melina will offer to be your maiden when you meet her. Accept her offer to level up in Elden Ring so you can summon your horse, Torrent.
If you’ve already met Melina but turned down her offer, you can restart the conversation by visiting a Site of Grace. This will not be result in your permanently prohibition from leveling up in Elden Ring.
After accepting Melina’s offer, you can choose Level Up while resting at any Site of Grace. This allows you to spend Runes, the currency you earn by killing enemies, to level up and improve your stats.
The number of Runes required to level up increases as level up. The number of Runes required for each level  can also become extremely high near the end of the game.
