There’s been a lot of talk about the “Rebirth” feature in Diablo 3, and whether or not it’s worth the time and effort.

So let’s break it down and take a look at what this feature actually does.

What's the Point of Rebirth Feature in Diablo 3?

Any Non-Seasonal character can be instantaneously changed into a Seasonal character with the help of Season Rebirth.

Similar to the rollover procedure that takes place with your stash space once a Season finishes, any gear or items that are equipped on your character or in your inventory will automatically be taken off the hero and delivered to your Non-Seasonal characters.

Your character will also be level 1 and prepared to begin the procedure as if they had just been created. Your Non-Seasonal progression will be lost along with achievements, crafting recipes learned, artisan levels, and unlocked stash tabs.

Personal information, such as the name of your character or the amount of time you’ve spent playing, will be kept and carried over to your seasonal adventures.

When utilizing Season Rebirth, keep the following in mind:

Do You Lose Your Seasonal Character in Diablo 3?

Your Seasonal Normal (or Hardcore) heroes, inventory, shared stash, and Paragon experience will be transferred to your Non-Seasonal Normal (or Hardcore) profile at the completion of the Season.

Any gear or items in the hero’s inventory will carry over with the hero. Heroes’ seasonal tags are removed.
