What is Lead?

Lead is a resource that is mostly utilized to make items by melting it in a Forge. Lead can be collected from several locations on 7 Days to Die, by scraping lead-based items discovered while looting, or through mining.

Mining is the most effective method of obtaining Lead. You should be able to mine it by locating Iron Ore underground or protruding Surface Nodes of Iron Ore.

What is a Lead Ore?

A Lead Ore [1] appears as large lead lumps embedded in the Stone that surrounds it. It has a  gray-blue color. An Auger, Pickaxe, Stone Axe, or Taza’s Stone Axe can be used to mine these.

When hit, an ore block will result a Scrap Lead for each hit and a bonus when broken. A Lead Ore may be found in both Navezgane and Random World Generation, both above ground and underground.

Scrap Lead can be extracted from Lead Ore with a pickaxe or, more slowly, a stone axe. In general, it will generate 20 Scrap Lead during harvest and another 20 Scrap Lead when the block is destroyed.
