One of 7 Days to Die’s unique features is the presence of Crucible. Before you ignore it in the game, you should know what it can do for you first.
Here, we’ll explain what you need to know about it and how to use it in the game:
What is Crucible?
The Crucible, along with the Anvil and Advanced Bellows, is one of the three Forge Tools. It unlocks the full potential of the Forge because it is required to construct certain items.
Once you reach Better Barter level 3, you can frequently get Crucibles at the trader for roughly 7000 Dukes.

The Crucible is an item that must be used in a Forge to produce Forged Steel. A Crucible can be found by scavenging with patience or by crafting it on a Workbench.
You can craft a Crucible once you’ve obtained the Steel Smithing perk, using the following items:
- 40 forged iron
- 10 mechanical parts
- 1200 small stone
- 900 lump of clay [1]
How Can You Unlock Steel Smithing Perks?
Steel Smithing is a perk in 7 Days To Die that requires Weapon Smithing level 4, Tool Smithing level 6, and Science level 3. Unlocking requires 15 skill points. You will be able to craft the following recipes once you have unlocked the Steel Smithing perk:

- crucible

- spring
