Have you ever wondered what that Bedroll item is on 7 Days to Die? You won’t have to second guess anymore! In this post, we will explain what you need to know about what Bedrolls are and how they can be used in the game.

Read on to learn more in this guide:

What is Bedroll in the Game 7 Days to Die?

The Bedroll is an item that can be manufactured with Plant Fibers or found around the world. A Bedroll creates a single spawn point at the location where it is placed.

This is your lone spawn point. Following placement, its location on the map will be highlighted with a bed icon. It’s also a good idea to keep a Secure Storage Chest handy with some basic gear in case you die and lose everything in your toolbar [1] or bag, depending on the server settings.

You can also utilize the “Spawn near Bedroll” option to spawn near your spawn site (not to be confused with the “Spawn on top of Bedroll” button). A Bedroll will also prevent zombie spawns in a 31×31 meter rectangle area from bedrock to sky.

This is very useful for “claiming” a prefab so that zombies do not spawn in it while you are away. It should be emphasized, however, that this only works for “your” Bedroll, not any other.
